Border Grill in Garland

Without a doubt, hands down, the best Tex-Mex meal I have had in a long time. I ordered the Ranchiladas and my wife ordered their Mango Strawberry Salad! Our server Mark was attentive, and genuine, really refreshing from a waiter! The manager Josh was very nice and seemed genuinely concerned with our visit here tonight. Both of us loved everything about our experience, and look forward to coming back soon!

The queso was great! Salsa was very fresh. I will be coming back soon. Our waitress was very friendly and got out food ordered and out fast.

Was in the other day and just wanted to compliment on our waitress Melanie.. She was hands-down THE. BEST. waitress we’ve had in a long time! SUPER friendly and was on the ball with all of our needs!! Great food, phenomenal service!! We will definitely be back!!

It was okay. Wasn't impressed. Taco Bell had better portion sizes. The queso was delish.

My Husband and I have eaten here several times. The food is always warm and delicious! The chips and salsa is great as well. Its very clean. They have 3 televisions in the bar area for all the sports fans. Great atmosphere. I highly recommend them. They're the best! 👍

Our waitress was beyond amazing, but I am so disappointed in the price of the meals we got and the quality. Taco Bueno would’ve done a better job on the food quality. We ordered the chicken tinga sour cream enchiladas and the Southwest tacos. The enchiladas were full of watered down sauce and super dark meat chicken. The tacos barely had any chicken in them, so I asked for more. On the Border used to be the best, but it was awful! I would say the one star is only for how friendly our waitress was.

Food was pretty good. Waitress was nice. Had to wait a few minutes to get seated. The host was too busy rolling silverware in napkins to bother with us.

Me and my family come here all the time. Their salsa and queso are the bomb dot com. Staff is always nice to us and the restaurant is always clean and well maintained!

Great to go eat somewhere. They are taking the necessary precautions and still serving great food!

I get with everything going on in the world that things are different. But the food was horrible! It took forever to get it and I asked for non spicy salsa and was still given spicy and when my food finally got there as they messed up on the order the first time by adding beef instead of chicken. I truly believe they just picked the beef off instead of fixing a new order and just added chicken. The lettuce was soggy and the whole order was just runny like soup and broken chips instead of whole chips and for some reasons the salad was even spicy. I probably drank 4.5 glasses of water because it was too spicy. I know how it's suppose to be and taste because it's what I've always ordered. Even after dinner was over it took the waitress 10 minutes to even come grab the card for me to pay and after she did she was even slower bringing out back making us late for the comedy show. I will not come back to this one and will stick with the one on 41st!

Great food topped with good service

This place is Muy Bueno! I can barely type because the Margarita was so grande. Where I am from in Rochester, NY, you can’t get real Mexican food. I told the waiter that even though I am Italian I love Mexican food so much more. If you stay at Comfort Inn in Tulsa I highly recommend it, On The Border is easy walking distance. I picked a great place to stay while riding my motorcycle to Phoenix for school. If I wasn’t staying here I might not have known about On The Border, my only complaint is I could get fat before I leave Monday. 5 Stars! Thank you!

This is what Chicken Tortilla soup should look like on your spoon ( good proportions of cheese, chicken, diced veggies, and tortilla). They did excellent to make their soup thickened with chicken and cheese! Servuce was excellent and patient. This location happens to be next to one of my favorite book retail chains, but I had never visited before. I'll definitely visit again!

We heard about a deal on all you can eat tacos for $8.99. Overall Tacos came out quickly, tasted great and the service was wonderful! We definitely got our money's worth. We will be back.

My daughter and I went for the $10 special Spent a little bit more for the steak or shrimp. Well worth it. We both took some home. I'd go again if possible.

Order a tea, cup of soup and an appetizer. My tea came out room temperature with no ice. I Never received my cup of soup. Then they charged my credit card $85.94. I then explained that my bill was about 10% of that and they tried blame it on the system. Finally gave me the correct amount 9.64 and left while I was speaking. If I was low on funds, I would be out the 85 charged to my account for 3 days. Totally unprofessional.

I’ve been to this location dozens of times through the years. The food is consistently good, hot, and fresh. I particularly love their chicken fajitas, chimichanga, and I am a glutton for their yellow queso and amazing salsa. (Seriously, though, that salsa is incredible!)This most recent time, my mom and I shared some fajitas and had a margarita before shopping in the area. We were relaxing and took our time. The server was absolutely great; she knew exactly when we needed something, and when we were in deep conversation.

I never get tired of this place. Hands down best beef fajitas!...also, happy hour boasts some really good deals on apps and drinks.

We prefer the 41st Street Tulsa location. It seems the food and the service are both better there. Chips were EXTREMELY oversalted.

It was too spicy for my individual taste, but I liked the restaurant. Not only do they have Vegan and Gluten Free options, but the waiter knew about them. As soon as I asked, he began to give me multiple options. My fellow Vegans will know that typically any time you ask a waiter/ waitress questions about Vegan options it take at least 5 minutes of them going back and forth to the kitchen to ask questions.. the bathroom was clean and had several stalls, a diaper changing station, they had outdoor seating, a fireplace, a bar area, and an enclosed room for large groups. Don't get me wrong, the food was good.. just a little spicy for this girl. :) It is a very convenient location close to the mall if you want to shop or catch a movie after. My Family Enjoyed their non vegan dishes and said the Queso was amazing!

Amazing service. Friendly staff. Clean environment. Overall, the visit was great. Our party was more than 20 people. The staff were attentive and the food was delivered promptly. I will visit again.

Excellent Mexican food. Come out with unlimited chips and salsa. Everyone at table gets their own salsa bowl so you don't have to worry about double dipping. Everything have had there has been great.

Showed up a few before they open people were already seated so went had to wait a minute or so, no one showed up to welcome us were not picky figured that not a the staff showed up so we set ourselves. Waiter showed took our drink order came back took out food order so far not bad quick service and the food came out hot. After having to go track down silverware for us to eat. Got though half of my steak burrito before I got steak good try on the on the border.

We needed a place to hold a birthday party at the last minute , the staff were awesome and accommodating The food was great. Awesome experience.Thanks to all staff.

Had the endless tacos. Antonio was the server. The food was good. The service was excellent.

Meh... Used to love this place. Chips and salsa are great. The rest isn't much to write home about. Food is fairly bland but typical for chain restaurants. And the servers aren't treated great by the corporate machine. 3 and a half Stars.

Diligent waitress, tried soft taco all you can eat special. Tasty, but may prefer to order light lettuce. Fresh made tortillas made @ counter continuously. I do like the food, but do like crispy shells, too. Good variety & generous portions.

As a vegan it was very refreshing to have the bartender come to my table and discuss meal options that are not on the menu. I ended up with veggie enchiladas with tomatillo sauce, black beans, and cilantro rice and it was all delicious!

Our lunch here today was wonderful. Brooke took great care of us. The service was quick and diligent, and the food was fantastic.

Absolutely the worst tasting food I've ever had. Pretty positive i got food poisoning as well. Would recommend eating dry dog food instead of here. Taco was stale, tortilla tasted like it was a day old and microwaved. The rice was still hard.

Came for the all you can eat tacos... had no idea I was going to enjoy a brisket taco this much. And our server is sooo friendly. Thank you for a wonderful experience... Well Done!!!

Had to travel during this pandemic, on the border is across from my hotel. Super appreciate them being there and working. The nachos were superb. The staff was friendly. I really appreciate them being there.

Really good food and my taco salad was delicious and I loved the hot salsa, wasn't quite hot enough for me. But it was good.

My family loves eating here. It’s my husbands favorite place to eat! All the servers and Managers are always so nice and accommodating. The California burrito is my picky sons favorite! I 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone at any given time!

The server and bartender were so busy trying to get out of there they forgot they had customers!

Went for the endless tacos with my mom and sister and they were excellent. Definitely a steal for the price, and our waiter Juan was very cheerful, accommodating, and funny.

Took 35 mins for are food and wasn’t even worth the wait I believe there under staffed bc there one guy working 4 tables and we had 3 different waiters. Are first waiter Daniel is good he was the one working 4 different tables hard worker gave him a tip

I went to On The Border over on 71st street today with my wife and daughter. I was very pleased with the service and it had a nice atmosphere. What really impressed me was how great their food is, and how much pride they seem to take in it. Our waitress had plenty of suggestions of her favorite items, and the manager brought us some avocado fries to try! My wife loves avocados and thought they were a great and fun take on making avocados into an appetizer! If you like Tex Mex, definitely swing by and give them a try!
